Introducing… The Classic Christmas Party

Here at Eventa we love our unusually themed Christmas parties, with us offering everything from events that take you to an underwater world all the way to prohibition era Chicago. However every now and then it’s great to do it traditional and experience all the things everyone loves about the festive season and with this London based party you get to experience it in the best way possible.

The venue is what makes this party from the offset, with it being held at one of the most notable points of interest in Chelsea, being something that will definitely get the football fans out there excited (unless maybe if you’re a Tottenham or Arsenal fan) but at a place owned by one of the world’s richest men there will not be a single person unhappy in their surroundings. Swapping the need for football boots for the necessity to get glammed up, suited and booted and indulge for an evening with your closest colleagues.

Standing up to its billing, this high class exclusive party at the lavish venue is a classic Christmas party through and through, with the centrepiece of the evening of course being the sit-down 3 course meal that once again ensures you’re having a classic Christmas to be remembered. With plate after plate of delicious festive food hitting the table and just to tease your taste buds you can expect to be tucking into a roast Norfolk turkey with all the trimmings in a Roast turkey jus as well as the choice of duck liver parfaits with toasted brioche and Christmas pudding or baked Alaska coming either side of that mouth-watering main course. Now that really is a meal to get excited about. The night is in no way finished after the plates are cleared and maybe a few belts are loosened a notch, because it’s time to hit the dance floor and show your moves. There’s no better way to celebrate the end of another year and there’s not many better or more iconic places to do it in, with this venue standing out in Chelsea – a place that is already known for its class, sophistication and ability to throw an extremely good party.

If it’s a classic Christmas you’re looking for in 2013, then this is it. So to enquire about your chosen date simply click below to be taken through to the party page or call us now on 01273 225078.

The Classic Christmas Party!

Eventa Case Study – Best of British

Our Best of British party is about just that! Celebrating the best of everything British! This theme has risen in the popularity over the years due to the Olympics and Royal wedding fever a few years ago. So if you love all things patriotic then this case study is going to interest you.

Because we’re going to talk about what’s included in this party, what’s involved in the preparation and how we overcame problems during the event.

First off, we needed a venue that could comfortably cater for 300 guests, in the centre of Nottingham during December. The chosen theme was “Best of British” and the entertainment as well as the décor had to be fun and suitable for all age groups. The space was decorated with iconic British symbols as well as landmarks and objects.

The party also included the following…

  • Stunning Best of British Themed Exclusive Room
  • British Human-Table to Serve the Welcome Drinks
  • Sparkling Wine on Arrival
  • Two Course Buffet Meal (Seated)
  • 4 x Drinks Vouchers per Person
  • David Bowie Tribute Act to Entertain During Dinner
  • Union Jack Photo booth
  • Prize for the Best Fancy Dress Costume
  • Party Favours and Fancy Dress Items on the Table
  • DJ and Disco
  • Security
  • Full Event Management
  • LED Union Jack Table Centres
  • A Fully Illuminated Sofa, with Union Jack Cushions
  • Illuminated Big Ben and Red Telephone Box
  • Lamp Posts
  • LED Poser tables with Fish bowls filled with traditional British sweets
  • Union Jack Bunting
  • London Tube Station Arcs
  • Stunning Event Lighting

A small issue that cropped up during the event was a problem regarding the photo booth. The representative we had was not used to the model of photo booth, so it wasn’t set up in time for the guests. However, because we strategically placed the booth in a separate room away from the main area, none of the guests noticed and the situation was resolved before they realised.

Other than that though the party was a huge success and everybody loved the theme, to the extent where it’s still being requested now! As a result of this, we’ve repackaged and distributed the party across the country. Take the strain out of your office Christmas party this year

With Christmas fast approaching you may have been given the task of organising your 2012 office Christmas party, a gargantuan task if ever there was one. With plenty to remember (and even more that you’ll forget), it can be daunting from the get go. Let’s have a look at what you may need to organise:

Numbers – How many people will be attending? Although getting concrete numbers well in advance can be a struggle, it helps to have an idea of how many people need to be catered for. A general rule of thumb, it’s better to have too many places than too few.

Location – One of the biggest decisions, where will you all go? There are no doubt plenty of options close to the office, but these aren’t always the best ones. Will everyone be happy to have their Christmas party in the same pub or restaurant they often lunch at throughout the year?

Time and date – Of course, office parties are traditionally held around the festive period. However, it is increasingly common for offices to have their parties earlier, with mid to late November proving to be a popular period at present.

Special requests – Dietary requirements are usually the biggest special request for parties with a sit down dinner, whether it is for a vegetarian staff member, or someone with an intolerance to dairy, or a peanut allergy sufferer. Make sure you know of anyone with a special requirement to avoid embarrassment and unnecessary hassle on the day.

How much will all of this cost me? – Probably the first question to be asked by the big boss man himself, so knowing your budget is key to ensure that you can deliver a party that is not only enjoyed by your office, but also kept within budget.

However, don’t lose hope, because although time may be running out help is at hand!

Our team of party experts can take the stress right out of arranging your office party, and with a wide range of venues and party packages available, we’re certain that there is something for everyone.

So if you’re looking for either shared or fully exclusive Christmas parties, Eventa can provide you with something special to suit your needs, no matter the number, location, time, date or budget.

Chard Christmas Lights Appeal Gets Off To Best Possible Start

A South Somerset District Councillor has gone above and beyond the call of duty and kindly donated £500 of his own money to the Chard Christmas Lights Appeal. According to local reports the 2010 lights were praised as being one of the best displays the town has ever seen and local official Dave Bulmer is clearly keen for it to be bettered this year.

Chard, a small town in Somerset, isn’t a million miles away from the bright lights of Bath and going by the events we’ve already listed on our website, Bath Christmas parties are set to really dazzle in 2011. Arguably the most colourful Christmas party to be held in Bath, perhaps in the whole of Somerset, this year is the event entitled ‘Christmas At The Winter Palace’. Set within a stunning party marquee, the space will be lit up in cool blues and purples with frosty icicles hanging down from the ceiling. With face painting and massages on offer throughout the evening, this is one Bath Christmas party that won’t be short on colour.

Amongst the other shared Christmas parties on offer in this historical location in 2011, the ‘All Inclusive Party Nights’ package promises unlimited beer, house spirits, wine and soft drinks until Midnight, the true embodiment of the celebratory nature of the Christmas party season.

We here at Eventa sincerely hope that Mr. Bulmer’s unbridled act of festive generosity inspires 2011 Christmas party organisers and those attending them to bring the events to life with twinkling lights, generous helpings of fine food and drink and a ‘can-do’ attitude that will turn an ordinary party into the bash of the year.

Cambridge Christmas Parties | The Reindeer Diaries

When you think of Cambridge you immediately think of meticulously manicured lawns, cosy quadrangles and historic University buildings, not to mention punting boats down the River Cam whilst students study and sip drinks on the banks. We’ve been particularly fond of Cambridge Christmas parties over the years, as well as these beautifully wistful qualities one frequently attributes to the town. Indeed, a few of us here in the office made a trip up for a Christmas party in Cambridge several years ago. We ended up spending the night, enjoying the delights of the town the next day and then decided it would only be right to attend a second Christmas party that evening. True story!

A number of this year’s Cambridge Christmas parties have been named in tribute to three of Santa Claus’ most trusted companions, his reindeers Rudolph, Dasher and Comet. These shared Christmas parties will be held in a beautiful venue right alongside the river, between Queens College and the Fitzwilliam Museum. The leader of the pack is undeniably Rudolph, whose Christmas party package includes a four course dinner, coffee and Petit Fours and a late night disco. The Comet package offers up a three course seated dinner and disco, whereas the Dasher offering is ideal for smaller groups on a budget, coming in at under £20 per head.

The very same venue will also play host to a series of superb Christmas party lunches, the ideal event for groups that can’t organise an evening to get together on. Just picture it now: a couple of hours in the office followed by you all heading down to the venue in convoy and sitting down together for a wonderful Christmas party lunch. What could be better than that? The party will be all wrapped up by the evening, meaning you can spend the night with loved ones without arriving home at 2am in the morning. Perfect!

Glasgow Christmas Parties | A Non-Working Lunch

Come December, a hard year of work will nearly be over once more. You can look forward to a good week or so of rest and relaxation with family and friends before jumping back into the swing of things in January. It is a time for celebration and companionship. These are most certainly themes that come into play with the company Christmas party. It is something that we here at Eventa certainly look forward to with enthusiasm and scanning over the Christmas parties on offer in 2011, the excitement levels are greater than ever. A Christmas party is traditionally an evening affair, the arrival of night time bringing with it the sound of chatter, laughter and the clinking of glasses. Glasgow Christmas parties are set to buck the trend this year and offer party goers the option of switching on the ‘out of office’ and having an afternoon away from work.

These lunchtime Christmas parties in Glasgow are becoming an increasingly popular choice for groups, simply because of the difficultly in getting everyone together for an evening with after-work commitments often throwing a spanner in the works. It means that everyone attending will most likely be in the same place at the same time, i.e.: work, meaning you can all jump in taxis and arrive at your Glasgow Christmas party together. This year’s lunch event promises to make for a wonderful company Christmas party. There’ll be a complementary welcome drink waiting for you upon your arrival before a delicious two course festive party meal is served. Fun competitions run throughout the afternoon with some fantastic prizes to be won. You’ll then be able to let your hair down on the dance floor as the resident DJ reels off the hits until well into the evening.

Of course, if you are a night owl, we’ve got plenty of shared Christmas parties in Glasgow held in the evening for you! Particularly tempting are the Sparkling Snow Party Nights, whereby one person goes free if the group size is over 20. Organisers booking in a group of 75 or over get a bottle of Champagne! Now, who said that the festive spirit had disappeared?!

Swashbuckling Nottingham Christmas Parties On The Horizon

Sorry if we are mentioning this on a weekly basis at the moment, but things really are starting to hot up here at Eventa HQ. Not only have we just launched our brand-spanking new website (which we happen to think looks rather swell), but we are also starting to take on a number of new sales staff to help find you those ideal Christmas parties quicker and easier than ever before. The number of Christmas party enquiries across the board has sky-rocketed in the last few weeks as groups start to think about their festive events. Remember folks, if you want to find the shindig that you’re truly after, at the right price, then it makes sense to get in there early!

A subject that we haven’t paid much lip service to is that of Nottingham Christmas parties. We’ve got a list of events here as long as our collective arms waiting to go live on the website, but the two Christmas party packages on there thus far are amongst the most contrasting you could possibly imagine. Nottingham is a city famed for its history, settlements here dating back thousands of years and being home, reportedly, to the infamous Robin Hood. It is the historical theme that comes into play with our first Nottingham Christmas party: the Medieval Banquet. A swashbuckling festive event if we do say so ourselves, this Christmas party in Nottingham sees an appropriately themed venue awash with historical noise and colour. Court jesters and minstrels will entertain whilst you gorge on four hearty Christmas party courses, all washed down with either four large mugs of ale or a bottle of wine (for Medieval authenticity, we suggest indulging in the former).

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum we have a series of shared Christmas parties in Nottingham entitled ‘Festive And Fabulous’. These shiny, high-gloss festive events bring us right up to the present, with a whirlwind of colourful entertainment packing a fun evening. Expect stilt-walkers, aerial trapeze artists and dazzling dance routines. These Nottingham Christmas parties shall be held under a purpose-built big-top in Lenton, one of the most unique Christmas party venues we have ever laid our eyes upon. Stay close to the Eventa website as more Christmas parties are added to the site in a variety of locations.
