You’ve been working hard for months and haven’t had a proper knees-up with your colleagues since Christmas, so why not get together and celebrate the summer?
One of Britain’s most popular celebrity chefs has added a splash of retro style, a hint of rustic charm and whole handful of class to this Ludgate Hill restaurant, which can seat up to 150 people in a private dining room. Serving up authentic Italian cuisine with flavour and flair, the restaurant is a great place to enjoy a summer celebration.
Take your seats and take your pick from the summer set menu, which offers a generous three courses for a great value price. Kick off the feast with one of the restaurant’s signature sharing planks, which the whole table can tuck in to. Go for the meaty option, which is piled high with a variety of hams, spicy sausage and pickles, or try a Mediterranean feast of chargrilled and marinated vegetables, olives and cheeses.
Main courses include a creamy wild mushroom risotto, pasta dishes such as Penne Carbonara and the chef’s favourite chicken dish cooked with Chianti and olives. There’s bound to be something to tempt everyone, especially on the dessert menu, which includes ice cream and sorbet, the extravagant Epic Brownie and a refreshing Amalfi lemon cheesecake.
At the front of the restaurant there is a small alfresco seating area where you can relax before or after the meal. With a glass of bubbly or a cold beer in hand, its the perfect place to soak up the sun in the daytime or enjoy the warmth of the evenings.
