The Best Places in Brighton for a Working Lunch

Brighton is the home to Eventa HQ and if you’re lucky enough to live or work here too, then you’ll know what a fantastic selection of restaurants and cafes we have on offer here. When we’re able to take a break from helping customers find their perfect Christmas party, we love nothing more than getting out the office for lunch and treating our taste buds to some seriously good food. But if you’re not sure where to go on your working lunch or where to take your clients for a bite to eat in this great city, then why not take some inspiration from some of our favourite places?

The Coal Shed

Nestled down Boyce Street, The Coal Shed is a sophisticated spot to enjoy a truly delectable lunch. The A La Carte menu offers a great selection of tasty steaks – choose from a fillet, rib eye, sirloin and surf and turf. Other mains include the likes of roast pheasant breast and whole fish of the day amongst many others. There’s also a great range of sides to enjoy which don’t disappoint. We say that this restaurant is one for the wow-factor and is definitely one to enjoy with a client!

The Office is a light and airy pub that’s tucked away in Sydney Street and just so happens so serve some of the best Thai food in Brighton. There’s plenty of great dishes to choose from for both meat eaters and vegetarians. Also, if you’re a fan of gin, then The Office is certainly the place to be with a huge selection of gin to choose from – there’s no harm in having one drink in your lunch break right?

Tortilla

If you’re looking for a freshly made burrito, then look no further than Tortilla based down West Street in the heart of the city centre. You’ll fill your tortilla with a choice of rice, beans, peppers and onions or meat (decide between grilled chicken, grilled steak, barracoa or carnitas) salsa and cheese or sour cream. A vegetarian option is also available in addition to plenty of other options, such as a lower carb option of naked burritos, tres tacos and some seriously mouth-watering nachos!  Tortilla is the perfect way to spice up your lunch break in Brighton!

Pompoku

Situated in the centre of Brighton, Pompoku is a Japanese restaurant and is famous round these parts for its delicious, low costing food that doesn’t compromise on quality! There’s plenty of choice on offer here, ranging from sumptuous Katsu Don and Teriyaki chicken to spring rolls and tempura prawns, there’s something for everyone here. A great advantage is that you won’t be waiting too long to enjoy your food as it’s served nice and quick here!
