An exhibition to celebrate over 60 years of British innovation was launched on the top floor of the Gherkin last week, a building that will feature in the show to be held at the V&A between 31 March and 12 August 2012. Other icons featuring over the course of the exhibition include Concorde, the E-Type Jaguar, the Dyson bagless vacuum cleaner and Harlow new town. Iconic venues feature heavily throughout, with sections of the famous Hacienda nightclub in Manchester being faithfully recreated by the venue’s original designer, Ben Kelly.
The venue chosen for last week’s launch, the top floor of the Gherkin building, is one that we like to think of as one of our flagship settings for Christmas parties London style in 2011. Towering 130 metres above the city below, the two-levelled dome is a majestic spot in which to enjoy the perfect company Christmas party. Not only have we sourced the capital’s ultimate venue for you, but are promoting the ultimate Christmas party there this December.
Never before have we seen such an exquisite dining and drinking experience promised for a festive event and having been invited down to the venue for a mock-up party recently, we can indeed confirm that Londoners are in for an absolute Christmas party treat. A thirty minute Laurent Perrier Champagne reception shall kick proceedings off, alongside six luxury canapés served with magnificent views over the twinkling city at night. If dishes such as razor clam with crab and lime confit, butter poached langoustines and cashel blue with parmesan shortbread aren’t enough to make your mouth water then we don’t know what is! A seated meal is accompanied by Sommelier-selected wines and a luxury cheese and port selection to complete these fabulous London Christmas parties in style.
As the centrepiece for an exhibition celebrating British innovation, we are immensely proud to be promoting this exclusive Christmas party held at the Gherkin. London is blazing a trail in 2011 for amazingly unique events and Eventa is continually striving to be at the very forefront of the movement.
