With the Christmas season fast approaching the signs of Santa Claus are starting to appear and before long every second advert will feature the jolly man and shops will be stocking Santa outfits for Christmas parties and other memorabilia.
However, if a group of German Catholics got their way they’d have Santa banned to cut down on the commercialisation of the festive period.
The church aid organisation Bonifatiuswerk of German Catholics has dismissed Father Christmas as an
invention by the advertising industry who has little relation to the historical St Nicholas, who they want to become the image of Christmas time instead.
Would somebody please think of the children!!
