7 Ways to Keep Motivated at Work

Feeling flustered thinking about that massive workload? Or perhaps you’ve just hit the 3 o clock slump and your eyes are feeling particularly heavy. Sound familiar? If so, then maybe it’s time to take a step back and look at some effective ways to keep yourself motivated throughout the working day. Today, we’ve bought you 7 ideas to keep you motivated at work, and we think it’s pretty safe to say that these work a treat – why don’t you see for yourself?

Keep hydrated

Sure, coffee is a great way to give you a buzz and get you in the mood for tackling that heavy workload, but don’t forget to drink some good old fashioned H2O too. According to The Eat Well Guide, we all need to drink around six to eight glasses of fluid a day – and what better way to do so than with a refreshing glass of chilled water?

Coffee and tea are also counted within your daily fluid intake, but don’t underestimate the power of plain water. It’s been proven to maximise physical performance, may help to prevent headaches and has a major effect on energy levels and brain function amongst others. If you’re not a fan of drinking the clear stuff , then why not jazz it up a bit with a tasty slice of zesty lemon and lime to really pack a flavour punch? Remember, water is your friend!

Give yourself a break

Sometimes, when all your work’s been building up, it’s all too easy to neglect yourself and not enjoy that break you deserve. But honestly, you really shouldn’t deny yourself that glorious rest and continue slaving away at the screen to try and reduce the workload further.

Always make sure you give yourself a break despite everything. Even taking a 15-minute walk around the block will rest your eyes from staring at the computer screen and will give you a chance to temporarily switch off. Plus, it’s always nice just to get a bit of fresh air and a change of scenery. You’ll come back feeling focused, refreshed and ready for the rest of the working day.

Check out your accomplishments so far

If you’re feeling defeated, then check out everything that you’ve done so far that day. Maybe even look at everything you’ve completed so far that week. That will be an instant mood booster – every effort you’ve taken to complete a task should be seen as a positive and a great motivation to help you power through the day.

Clear your table

There’s nothing worse than a build-up of unnecessary paperwork and food wrappers on your desk. So if you’re feeling you’re surrounding by clutter, then get rid of it! Organise any essential documents neatly and pop any non-essential paperwork you don’t need in the shredder or recycling, and chuck out leftover food wrappers and other junk into the waste! You’ll be surprised at much calmer your mind will feel after having a quick desk tidy!

Reward yourself

Do reward yourself if you’ve hit deadlines and targets. Especially ones that have been plaguing your mind for the past few weeks and causing you anxiety. How about a nice slab of sticky chocolate fudge cake from the bakery down the road or a bottle of beer at the pub after work? Go on, there’s nothing wrong with treating yourself. You deserve it!

Think positive

Obviously it’s great to care about work. It shows that it’s important to you and that you’re conscientious. But don’t let a heavy workload make you feel negative and let your thoughts spiral out of control. That’s no fun, and you’ll find you’re actually less productive. Take a deep breath and try to think positive thoughts. Just remember, you’re (probably) not saving lives, and the stress that you’re experiencing is most likely to be temporary. Give yourself a quick break if needs be and go and make yourself a hot beverage before soldiering on.

Maintain a healthy work/life balance

Ensure that your life isn’t primarily focused around work. Remember that all work and no play made Jack a very dull boy. A very dull boy indeed. It’s important to give yourself some ‘me’ time outside of work where you’re not thinking about the build-up of those grueling tasks and the office. Visit family, see friends, take the dog for a nice long walk in the countryside. You’ll feel more balanced and as a result and will be able to take everything work related in your stride.

How To Pull The One You Fancy At The Office Party

So it’s just a few weeks away until the highly anticipated office party and you know that it’s going to be an absolutely cracking night. You also know that your office crush will be in attendance at the party, and you realise that this will be a great opportunity to get to know them a bit better outside the office environment.

One problem though, how do you approach the situation? You don’t want to make a fool of yourself and come across too strong, but you also don’t want to be too shy and miss what could be the ideal opportunity to speak to them. But never fear, we’ve got some great advice for all of you out there looking for some top tips, so sit back, relax and read on as we talk you through how to pull the one you fancy at the office party!

1. Build up the momentum

Why wait until the actual date of the party to talk to the one you fancy? We definitely recommend divulging in a bit of harmless chit chat during the office hours in order to build up momentum. There’s nothing wrong with saying hello and flashing your best smile as you pass them during the day, or if you see them head to the kitchen to make a brew, then why not use this situation to casually initiate conversation and ask them how their day’s going? You never know, you may just make a lasting impression whilst innocently replenishing your coffee.

2. Look your best

This one’s probably a bit of a no brainer, but definitely put some effort in on the evening and look your best. Take some time to plan your evening attire in advance and get yourself feeling tip-top. A little bit of effort goes a long way, and it’s the perfect opportunity to show everyone what you look like out of your usual work clothing. Just remember, dress to impress!

3. Appear funny

There’s nothing more attractive than someone funny, so we say crack a few jokes and get your colleagues laughing and grab your crush’s attention. It’s the ideal way to get noticed – just make sure that the jokes aren’t offensive because then things could go completely the wrong way and then it’s completely awkward. Nobody wants that. Nobody wants that at all.

4. Have a bit of courage

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying a drink or two to help you loosen up at the start of the party. I mean, it is a massively anticipated work celebration so why not? It’ll also make you relax when you want to approach your crush for a chat and may lessen any nerves. So drink up, stroll over and initiate a friendly bit of chat – what could go wrong?

5. Don’t get too drunk

No one wants to be that person, so don’t. We’re all for having a little bit of Dutch courage (see tip 4) but don’t go over the top and get out of control. That’s just embarrassing. Not only will you potentially repel said office crush, but you’ll also be the main topic of conversation at work the day after the party. All in all, we say excessive drinking is not recommended.

6. Body language

Use positive body language! This one is subtle yet effective and you’ll be able to gage whether or not your office crush is open to your flirting. Obviously a face adorned with a frown and folded arms is a no go, but if there’s a lot of smiling going on, direct eye contact and head tilting then you could be on to a winner here. If there’s some light body contact as in touching your arm, then that’s a really good sign for going full steam ahead!

How to manage your events social media properly

So you’ve started some social media accounts for your upcoming event, but you’re not really sure how to start making your following base grow and how to successfully interact with your audience. Sound familiar? Well if so, never fear, because this afternoon, we’re bringing you some of our top social media secrets that you’ll be able to use across your social media channels!

Include Hashtags – Always include hashtags! On Twitter, you can even see what’s currently trending at present, so you can adapt your tweet if applicable to the current hashtags. This is a great way of reaching new followers and getting those all-important retweets!

Interact with your audience – Ask questions that you know your followers will be interested in. Perhaps you could ask if they’ve got their party attire sorted and invite them to post photos of their outfits – remember to make the time to write comments back to those who have gone out of their way to answer your questions.

Keep an event countdown – This is a great way to keep everyone excited. Obviously don’t post the countdown everyday, that’s just annoying. Instead, use days of significance, such as 10 days to go, or 5 days to go. This way, it retains excitement without becoming irritating!

Videos – Videos are another great way of capturing your audience’s attention, and letting them know what you’ve been doing. Give them a guided tour of the venue and introduce them to the friendly members of staff on camera – you never know; you may even get some bookings out of it!

Use Photos – it seems an obvious one, but a great photo really does bring a social media post to life! Whether you’re preparing for the event and getting the function room nicely decorated for guests, or maybe you’ve got the finished scene, add a photo. You might just be in the office with your colleagues sorting a bit of pre-event logistics – if so, then add a photo. It allows for you to interact with your audience and allows for them to keep up to date with what you’re doing.

Make friendly chat with suppliers – Perhaps your suppliers have just sent you the new wine glasses ready for the event? Or maybe the caterers have just provided a cheeky menu tasting session for you all to enjoy? If so, there’s no harm in providing a public display of affection online and letting them know what a great day you had trying their offerings, or how excited you were to receive several boxes of brand new shiny wine glasses. Remember, a little bit of appreciation goes a long way!

Create posts containing useful information – Is the venue situated near to local transport links? Is there a road blockage on the day of the event? Keep your followers updated with anything that you think that they may find interesting.

Blog Posts – Whenever you publish a blog post on your site, make sure you create a post about it containing the link to the page on your social media channels. This is the ideal way of raising awareness of your blog and you may even get a new batch of followers.

A Night of Extravagance, Minus the Price Tag

The annual Christmas party is an important date on the yearly social calendar, it offers the chance for you and your colleagues to relax and unwind after a hard work year. The Christmas party can rejuvenate, revitalize and re-inspire the most stagnant and stale of work environments, letting workers know they are appreciated within the company. Whether you’re in the deluxe capital city that is London or our beloved Northern powerhouse that is Manchester, costs can quickly add up, especially if you want to offer a night of extravagance to your team.

If you’re looking for something special this Christmas then you don’t need to look at the bank breaking, leave-me-breathless prices for parties. You can enjoy the luxury, decadence and impossible glamour of the Monte Carlo beaches without ever having to leave the comfort of your city. And unlike so many other party packages, this party offers you the opportunity to feel like a celebrity and be treated like royalty all for a generously good price.

Enjoy a red carpet entrance and be serenaded by a live band in a venue designed to exude decadence with its ornate columns and lavish marble floors. This is an event that offers large scale production and extravagance for a price that smaller groups and companies can easily afford too, so nobody has to miss out this year.

What makes an amazing party? Some people would say it’s delicious gourmet food, others might say it’s impressive and immersive theming to whisk you away to a magical paradise and you might think it’s outstanding entertainment that takes your breath away. Here at Eventa, we think it’s the perfect combination of all three and Midnight in Monte Carlo takes the prize.

You won’t go hungry at this party, delectable canapés will tantalize your taste buds on arrival with crispy tempura battered prawns and sweet chilli jam or brie and cranberry filo pastries. Indulge in whatever food takes your fancy whilst admiring the opulent décor and theming that will truly make you feel like you’re on a film set in beautiful Monaco.

After canapés it’s time to dine and this four course banquet will satisfy every member of your party, starting with a roasted butternut squash tart with a wild rocket and sweet shallot dressing and finishing with a British and continental cheese buffet with celery and grapes. After this fantastic feast, wash it all down with fair trade teas and coffees.

If you’ve got hollow legs and all this delicious food still isn’t enough to fill you, then you can look forward to the brioche breakfast baps with crispy grilled bacon or a succulent vegetarian sausage as a midnight survivors’ treat. You won’t find a bigger and better Christmas feast anywhere else.

With this spectacular party, comes entertainment so impressive that you won’t be able to go back to those basic Christmas dinner packages every again. Gaze upon the aerial acrobats, twisting and twirling beneath a beautiful starlit ceiling, dancing and diving to your amazement with stunning silk performances to top it off. If watching these stunning performances aren’t exactly what you were thinking of in terms of entertainment, how about a go on the genuine funfair dodgems? Or for the smooth and suave perhaps the grand casino? Try your luck at blackjack or roulette, laugh, let your hair down and truly have fun on this night of a lifetime, for a once in a lifetime price starting at just £37.50.

So for a night of extravagance, without the business crushing price tag per head, this party is really and truly an unmissable opportunity.

Top 3 Do’s and Don’ts When Organising a Party

Organizing a party can sound like fun…and it can be, so long as you follow these basic do’s and don’ts that will keep things stress free and fun.

  1. Don’t Worry about Pleasing Everyone

Because you’ll never achieve this and you’ll just get frustrated with the organizing instead of enjoying it. There will always be somebody who isn’t happy with what you’ve done, maybe you didn’t pick a date that suited everyone or maybe you just forgot to write them an invitation in your own blood.

Take into consideration everybody’s needs but remember that you can’t accommodate everybody all of the time. You’ll have to draw the line somewhere.

  1. Don’t Forget to Plan

This sounds like a bit of a generic one, but people can forget to make lists and cross off things on their to-do list. You might have a thousand and one amazing ideas but if you don’t write them down or make a timetable and schedule you’ll have guests turning up on different days and too much salad and not enough beer.

Send out invitations first and find out how many people you need to cater for before booking and ordering in food and drinks. But if planning seems a little too much effort than check out our already perfect parties.

  1. Don’t Cut Corners

Cutting costs is fine, but cutting corners is a sure fire way to ruin the whole party. Cutting corners means skipping certain crucial elements of a party in order to save time or money. There are certain aspects of a party that should have time and money spent on them. Food, entertainment and theming for example.

Cut costs by leaving out extras that people are in two minds about, like coffees and mints. Make your own cocktails, punches and canapés to save money and add that touch of originality to the party.

  1. Do Heed Murphy’s Law

Always assume that everything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Make plans to prevent this happening and have a Plan B for the common things that often turn a party on its head, like the weather. Do you have an indoor space for people to retreat to if you’re organizing a summer party?

Or what if the entertainment doesn’t turn up on the night? Can you take the guitar and successfully serenade people into believing everything is under control?

  1. Do Think Outside the Box

A good party can be made great by thinking outside the box. What can you do with the space that you’ve got? Do you have an unusually long venue space? Then how about turning it into a street carnival? Or perhaps your garden is on the small side? The put up some sheets, lanterns and make a picnic party perfect for a princess.

Thinking outside the box means turning something generic and organic into something unusual, fiery and memorable. All of the parties on our website are unforgettable, so check them out if you’re having difficulty planning your own.

  1. Do Manage your Expectations

Not everything will be perfect. Maybe you were planning a sophisticated evening, and then someone found your laptop and started sharing YouTube videos. Go with the flow. Depending on the videos, you can reassess your friendship with that person.

Don’t turn into that uptight party planner who forces everyone to do everything he wants at the exact time he planned on doing it. It’s a sure-fire way to lose friends and people will certainly remember to tick the ‘Not Coming’ box on the invitations next time.

How to Transform your Event from Good…To Great!

What would you classify as a good event? And how would you distinguish a better event? There is a subtle difference between those events that are good and the events that you don’t forget. It can be the difference between retaining customers and losing them to competitors.

Here at Eventa, we know how to throw a party or two and we know what can make a good event great.

What makes an event bad?

You need to know this in order to avoid these common pitfalls that could turn your event sour.

  • No Clean-up

If there’s nowhere to put rubbish, people will leave it anywhere and things can quickly get messy. This is unpleasant for everyone involved.

  • No Supplies

If you don’t have tables and chairs for people to sit down on they will hover awkwardly and not enjoy themselves. And nobody wants to eat with their fingers so without basic supplies such as knives, forks and napkins your party becomes a bit of a loser.

  • No schedule (time, date, finish time?

You need to tell people exactly how long you intend the party to go on for, all day? Half a day? An hour? If there’s not a date or time people can’t plan for the day and us Brits love a good schedule, almost as much as we love to queue.

Well, what makes an event good?

A good event is one that offers guests everything they want in a party

  • Good Music

Imagine standing in a room, full of people who are stood around looking awkward. That’s what a party becomes without music and with music, people start to enjoy themselves.

  • Good Food

It doesn’t matter who you are, where you are from and what you do, if you’re at a party you want to be fed and you want to be fed good. So leave the bowls of crisps for the kids and get out a selection of delicious hot and cold foods to stop anybody getting hangry.

  • Plenty of Drinks

As well as the moody hungry people, you get the moody thirsty ones too who just like a good drink at a party and so providing plenty of drinks options to choose from, including some non-alcoholic drinks, makes for a decent event.

So what’s the secret? What makes an event great?

The great events are the ones that offer guests all the little things they didn’t even think they wanted until you gave it to them.

  • Small Personal Touches

Personalised name cards and invitations, a seating plan so Miss can sit next to her Mister and you know who doesn’t have to sit next to their worst nightmare. Small things like catering for vegetarians and non-alcohol drinkers will make people remember the party for all the right reasons.

  • Tailored Music

If you have a theme (and if you don’t then why don’t you?) you should tailor the music to match. If you’re going for a Rio Carnival Party then play some sizzling samba tunes to get the atmosphere going.

  • Themed Event

As mentioned before, a themed event turns a normal party into something that everyone will remember. Not everybody likes fancy dress parties, but everybody loves great décor to change the mood and tone of the event.

  • Entertainment

If you’ve ever watched an episode of ‘Come Dine with Me’ you’ll know that entertainment is a game changer. Play it right and you’re scoring tens across the board. Miss it out or make it too dull or embarrassing then you’ve lost it already. A great shout is a live band.

How can I tell if an event is going to be great?

Well you don’t have to, here on our website, we only source the best parties, the ones we think will leave you with a fair few happy memories and a good story to tell when you get home. If you want to book a great party, then check out the ones we’d recommend here.

How do you Survive the London Life?

London is the biggest city not only in Britain but in the whole of Europe, and with a population density of about 5000 people per square kilometer, it’s no small feat to live there.

The big capital city has officially been named the most expensive place in the world in which to live and work, so it’s not easy to get by. Not only is it a money hole but us Brits have some odd habits, traits and quirks that make it quite hard for newbies to integrate.

Here are some of our top tips to help you get by…

Don’t Talk on the Tube

One of the most important rules of London life, is to keep quiet on public transport. Don’t look at the person pressed up against you in the eye and especially don’t speak to them, just pretend it’s not happening.

When heading down or up any corridor, set of stairs or escalators, keep to the right. Londoners hold a deep and ingrained loathing for anyone that stands on the left.

Don’t Just Use the Tube

Until the night tube is introduced this summer, you still have a sort of Cinderella bedtime as a Londoner. Past midnight, the tubes all stop and you’ll be stuck in whatever part of London you ventured out to, so either learn to be careful with the time, or start using other forms of transport and believe me, using the night bus for the first time is an experience in itself.

Get used to London by travelling over ground with some of the alternative transportation services on offer, like the excellent bus service or even the pedicab service so you can get a breath of fresh(ish) London air at the same time.

Don’t Speak Cockney

If you head into a ‘rub-a-dub,’ or what Londoners call, the pub, you’ll probably be thrown out if you ask for a ‘king Lear’. The old fashioned notion that Cockney Rhyming slang is an actual language used in London is a ridiculous as traffic on the tube at rush hour. Don’t go offending people by assuming this stereotype is true!

Don’t Walk in Large Slow Groups

shutterstock_420420466 (1)

This is almost as loathsome as standing on the wrong side of the escalators on the underground. If you do walk slowly and happen to be with more than one other person, expect heavy sighing and muttering under the breath of the Londoners who white rabbit their way across the city, always late for a very important date.

Perhaps head to Hyde Park if you want to meander, amble and stroll and keep well out of the way of the business centers.

Do Enjoy London’s Finest Summer Parties

London can be a difficult place to live, especially in the middle of the summer when the sheer volume of people there explodes. You can catch a slice of paradise in your own secluded oasis if you book one of the many fantastic summer venues London has to offer.

Londoners do love their traditions so get in on this new party trend that breaks up the staleness of the summer heat.

Do Talk About the Weather

It’s a favourite conversation topic for Brits so when in the beloved capital, do make a comment regarding the unbearable sunshine or the rain we wish would go away. Failing that, the clouds can be an annoyance sometimes too…

Do Drink Tea

If there is one nation in the world that loves tea its Britain. If there’s one thing they like talking about more than the weather, it’s probably a good cup of tea. This is one stereotype that Hollywood got right.

There will be plenty of independent tea and coffee shops serving drinks that are much nicer than the stuff served at Starbucks. It’s a great way to meet people too, over tea and scones.

Do Your Shopping Online

It can be tempting to grab bits here and there from the local Tesco Express but that can make your monthly food bill soar. Instead stay at home and order a bulk monthly shop online and save cash! London is not cheap to enjoy; those valuable pennies can go towards a good night out or a fun party for you and your friends.

Double strain the cocktail into a tall glass over cubed ice. Garnish with a slice of beetroot and a lemon wedge.

Beetroot is a well-known blood cleanser, this means it helps in the creation of red blood cells, helps to reduce blood pressure and generally cures diseases of the circulatory system. It’s also been used to help dissolve stones found in the liver. It’s also been proven to lower cholesterol by up to 40%.  Overall this beetroot is a real miracle food, so don’t feel guilty about indulging in this cocktail.

Kale and Ginger Daiquiri
(The Stiff Upper Lip)

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add rum, lime juice, ginger simple syrup, and kale juice. Shake until well chilled, about 20 seconds. Strain into chilled coupe glass and serve immediately.

Why’s it Healthy?

We all know why Kale is so good for us, it’s full of those little antioxidants that combat the signs of aging and prevent cancer. And Ginger has, since the dawn of time itself, been used to treat nausea and is so effective at doing so that it’s even used as a prescription medication. If you’re prone to feeling a bit queasy when drinking alcohol then this is the drink for you, it will give you the poise, grace and stiff upper lip of a palace guard.

2-ounces Star Anise syrup

Pour the Pisco, Camu Camu juice and star anise syrup into a shaker and shake for ten seconds with ice until it takes consistency. Pour into champagne flutes and garnish with star anise.

It’s high in antioxidants, vitamin C and is proven to strengthen the immune system and support the function of your nervous system. It acts as an anti-depressant by balancing your hormones and boosting your mood.

If you’re going to a BBQ then you want it to stand out like this one, with great theming to help get you in the party mood.

Private Island Summer Party

You don’t get more impressive than your own private island on the River Thames. How’s that for a BBQ party? This venue is a real gem in the urban jungle of Greater London. The absolute beauty of this party is that you can tailor it to whatever you and your colleagues fancy, a three course meal? Canapés and finger buffet food? Then dine on smoked barbary duck breast or Parma ham and buffalo mozzarella amongst plenty of other gourmet dishes.

A summer barbecue doesn’t get more high class than this and with the spectacular setting behind it, this is most certainly one of our favourite summer barbecue parties this year.

The City Summer House

A hog roast with an outside paradise bar and an inside chiki tiki bar? That’s the way we want to spend our summer. Great theming seems to be something that we love here at Eventa, so with a truly spectacular outdoor picnic space in London with bean bags and picnic tables, this venue is a sure winner.

One of the perks of this venue is its huge range of upgrades available, so you can even have a candy floss cart and a popcorn stand if you want.

Secret Garden Party

This secluded oasis in the centre of London is a delightful venue to host a barbecue party and the food is even more exciting. With a choice between six street food market stalls including the ‘Best of British’ with gourmet fish and chips on offer, Yorkshire puddings and a sweet Eton mess. Or perhaps the ‘Cruise of Med,’ stall appeals to you more with the paella, crab arrancini and halloumi kebabs.

If you love food then this party is certainly the one for you, mixing up the traditional barbecue cuisine with Oriental, European and Tex Mex fusions.

Seven Deadly Sins of Summer Parties

You might be thinking about that delicious ice cold drink and the glorious sunshine right now but have you considered the seven deadly sins you may well commit at the office summer party?

  1. Thou Shalt Not Sunbathe without Sunscreen

It might sound pretty obvious but the temptation to top up that tan in the modest British weather could lead to a bright red face, stinging eyelids and skin peel all over your desk for the next week.

We all forget sometimes that even though Great beautiful Britain is not quite the Bahamas, we still have to protect our skin from the dangers of UV radiation. Over 100,000 new cases of skin cancer are reported each year in our country alone, so make sure to rub a good quality SPF 30 on yourself before the party.

  1. Thou Shalt Not Drink Excessively…Unless It’s Water

The heat can be quite overwhelming if you don’t prepare for it, with only 1% of the population drinking enough water as it is, dehydration is a big risk factor over the dry, hot summer.

We all know that too much alcohol can dehydrate you, that’s what those dreaded hangover headaches are all about the next day. This combined with the sun and heat poses a serious threat to your health, so every other drink, make it a glass of water!

  1. Thou Shalt Not Wear Flip-Flops

This deadly sin is a little more a fashion faux pas. Flip flops are great at the beach, but when everybody wears them all the time

Go for a pretty strappy sandal or a pair of ballerina pumps instead and if you’re a guy then wear a pair of material boat shoes; these will make your party outfit a little classier than flip-flops ever could.

  1. Thou Shalt Not Leave Food Out Uncovered

At bigger summer parties it’s easy to get carried away with the barbecue and end up with huge piles of uneaten food sitting in the sunshine.

When food isn’t being eaten then make sure it’s covered up, that way when people get hungry later on they can eat food uncontaminated by flies and other outdoor critters! It saves an awful lot of waste too!

  1. Thou Shalt Not Disturb the Neighbours

Obviously, the neighbours being annoyed at the loud music is easily solved by inviting them over…win win! But for the situation where the neighbours have a little one or maybe just don’t really like you enough to come over, then try and keep the peace by keeping noise to a minimum and turning off those amplifiers after 7pm.

On the other hand, you could just book one of our summer parties, held at brilliant venues with no fun-sponge neighbours to rain on your parade.

  1. Thou Shall Dress Appropriately

Wearing appropriate footwear is only half the battle, when the sun comes out it can be tempting to slip into something too small or for men, take off their tops completely. Don’t. When your boss is around, it’s not a look that says “I deserve that promotion to manager”, even if you’ve got that Zac Efron body, the only time and place for bikinis and topless bods is the beach.

Instead why not go for a loose fitting summer dress or some harem pants and a crop top? Guys can wear the classic shorts and t-shirts combination.

  1. Thou Shall Prepare for British Weather

Don’t organise a barbecue party outside with no gazebo or under cover area, we’ve all been there, gazing up at the sky and praying for the rain to pass so we can carry on with the party. Make sure you’ve got a designated indoor party space for the likely event that Britain won’t get sunshine all day.

On the other hand, you could just book one of our summer parties, all of which have brilliant, air conditioned indoor space and luxurious outdoor space for when it’s sunny!
