When it comes to themed Christmas parties in Leeds in 2011, Eventa have got it covered! With themes such as Wonderful Las Vegas, Midnight in Manhattan and Moulin Rouge, you won’t have to make do with a standard dinner and dance.

Why Leeds?

A buzzing metropolitan hub, this fabulous city positively bristles with life. Home to a huge range of top hotels, quirky venues and well-respected food and drink establishments, you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to Christmas party venues. Located within easy reach of national transport links, Leeds is easily accessible, no matter where you are starting your journey. The city lights up at Christmas time, with festive songs ringing out from the wonderful shops and decorations hung in the beautiful streets.

Themed Christmas Parties

Imagine retreating from the hustle and bustle of Leeds city centre into the glamorous, decadent surroundings of grand old Paris at a Moulin Rouge themed Christmas party. Saunter up the red carpet into an elegant world of black and red draping, dazzling dance performances and an impressive Eiffel Tower backdrop. Sip on cocktails and sparkling wine whilst you mingle with your fellow guests. Enjoy a wonderful three course meal with bottle of French wine included as standard, whilst Can Can dancers strut their stuff.

For a themed Christmas party with a contemporary twist why not plump for our extremely popular Wonderful Las Vegas theme? Expect high-rolling stakes with fun casino tables, circus performances and a full live Ratpack tribute act.

Or for the romantics amongst you, our Midnight In Manhattan theme is always a winner. Set to the backdrop of the Big Apple’s twinkling skyline, gorgeous jazz music and Broadway-style stage performances, this Christmas party is sure to be a big hit.

One of the nice things about Christmas is having your favourite tipple with friends and family over the holiday season. It’s that time of year when people bring out their best booze and you can warm yourself up from the cold with a little drink of something special. If you’re throwing a party and really want to treat your guests, you might want to get together some ingredients for cocktails which will really get your knees up into full swing! Here we look at some of our classic cocktail favourites to have over Christmas time.

Snowball

Not just one for the older ladies in your family. If you’ve been wishing for a white Christmas but have yet to see those flakes of snow, make your own! This cocktail is a mixture of Advocaat, lemonade and lime juice, make it a simple crowd pleaser that you can mix up and serve easily.

Hot Gin Punch

If the sound of a snowball has you shivering, then why not try something that’s going to heat you up a little. This cocktail recipe is based on one by Charles Dickens himself who may have faced the cold winter nights with this hot toddy. It mixes gin, wine, nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar, honey, pineapple and lemons all heated up together on a stove for about 20 minutes. The sweet and sour ingredients can be adjusted to make this treat perfect for you and your guests.

Fruity Rum Punch

Looking for a drink with a summer feel to combat those dark nights? A classic rum punch cocktail would be perfect for a Hawaiian themed party, simply combine rum, orange juice, lemon juice and Angostura Bitters for a little mix of something tropical!

Ice White Russian

From the tropics to a decidedly colder atmosphere, this delicious cocktail will perk you up and is a perfect drink to serve after a meal. Simply pour vodka and coffee liqueur over ices and stir to make everything nice and cold. Carefully pour some cream over the top so that it floats on the drink, and sprinkle with a dash of Christmassy nutmeg!

Ultimate Woo Woo

This is a fun and fruity drink for anyone feeling frisky this Christmas, Simply mix together some vodka, peach schnapps and cranberry juice for a drink that is going to taste like the best fruit juice in the world. Be careful because with these being so delicious you’re going to have to remind yourself it’s got alcohol in!

Hot Buttered Rum

This is a delicious cocktail that really will warm the cockles of your heart when it’s chilly outside. Use an Irish coffee glass, as this is a hot drink, and pour yourself a generous 50ml measure of dark rum and a tablespoon of sugar. Add three cloves and a cinnamon stick and boiling water to top up. Mix in two teaspoons of butter and you’ll have yourself a warming treat in no time!

These are just a few of our favourites but why not have a try this Christmas at mixing your own for your office Christmas party!

The Christmas party isn’t just a chance to let your hair down with your colleagues and staff, it’s a perfect chance to reflect over the success of the company over the past year, and perhaps take some time to recognise the efforts of those who have contributed to those successes. It’s the season of goodwill so already people are feeling a little of that pre-holiday excitement as they look forward to spending time with their family and coming back refreshed ready to go in the New Year.

There are lots of different ways to reward your staff throughout the year, but the Christmas party gives you an added opportunity to show your appreciation. Employees who feel that their efforts have been acknowledged and valued will be encouraged to continue their hard work and it helps encourage mutual respect and loyalty between employee and employer. So, how can you use the Christmas party to reward your staff?

Listen to what they want

You might think it’s a great idea to take the team paintballing for the day if you’re a real fan of the sport, but it might not be everyone’s cup of tea, and staff may feel forced into doing something they don’t enjoy. You may not find something that is to everyone’s tastes, but by asking your staff what they might be interested in is a way of showing you respect their opinion and value their input.

Offer additional treats at the Christmas Party

The Christmas party in itself, is a great reward to your staff, but if you have a team who have gone above and beyond the call of duty throughout the year, or achieved some particularly impressive milestones, then there are easy ways to reward everyone as a whole for their hard work. You may want to upgrade from a classic Christmas party package to a more Premium event with a little more luxury, perhaps extra drinks, or a wider range of choice on the menu. You might also want to put together some additional entertainment, perhaps a table magician, or a comedian, as well as an evening of dinner and drinks. This works particularly well if you have a few treats held back as a surprise on the evening so they know the extra benefits are a reward for their commitment to the business.

Host Individual awards

If you have a small company, or perhaps have a few people who have stood out in their efforts to the company, you may want to consider hosting individual awards and benefits for each member of your team, or to a few select people who deserve their efforts to be recognised. This could be a light hearted round of novelty awards for everyone or you might want to hand out bonuses to the team. Whether it’s a grand gesture or a token of appreciation, taking time to recognise your team’s efforts will improve work relations and benefit your business.
